What you are missing is: a summary, a template, your template
Try this:
Rax fell from the sky. UH! That hurt. He looked around. What happened. He felt a sharp pain in his back. He looked at it and noticed a diamond. Cool! He touched it. He suddenly felt stronger...

That would help. You can do your own character for a bit, as long as it described the plot.
